Aaron Edward Blagg, age 31 of Palestine, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at ETMC in Tyler, Texas.
Aaron was born May 4, 1986, in Rochester Hills, Michigan to Arthur and Dawn (Doerfling) Blagg. Aaron graduated from Duncanville High School in 2004 and attended Mountain View Community College pursuing a Sports Medicine/Physical Therapy degree. Aaron was a gifted salesman and computer technician. He worked for Circuit City, Best Buy, and most recently, P.G. Technology Inc. in Palestine, a Telecommunication/Computer Networking/Network Installation Service. Aaron enjoyed working out and could be found all hours at any local fitness club. He was an avid reader and writer. He loved books of all genres. Aaron especially enjoyed spending holidays with his family; a good home cooked meal, a long nap, followed by enthusiastic play of computer games, board games, and football. Aaron's thousand watt smile, infectious laugh, gentle nature, and warm hugs will be remembered by all. Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Lynn Blagg; grandfather, Lester Lewis Blagg; and grandmother, Kathleen Gail Doerfling.
Aaron is survived by his parents, Merritt and Dawn Shepherd of Palestine, Texas; grandmother, Neysa Blagg of Naples, Florida and grandparents, Dan and Nancy Doerfling of Land-O-Lakes, Florida; sister, Andrea (Blagg) Lackey and husband Devin Lackey of Palestine, Texas; little sister/niece, Aubrey Lynn Blagg of Palestine, Texas; brother, Merritt Shepherd Jr. and wife Keri of Hope, Arkansas; sister, Rebecca Cook of Haughton, Louisiana; brother, Russell Shepherd and wife Melanie of Haughton, Louisiana; brother, Mark Shepherd and wife Joy of Shreveport, Louisiana; sister, Amy Latham and husband Stuart of Whyalla Jenkins, Australia; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and cherished friends.
Services will be held at 11 am on Monday, March 12, 2018, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Earle's Chapel Cemetery near Jacksonville.
Pallbearers will be Merritt Shepherd Jr., Russell Shepherd, Mark Shepherd, Devin Lackey, Stuart Lamkin, and Tyler Trahan.
A special thanks to the loving, kind hearted doctors, nurses, and staff of ETMC in Tyler for taking such wonderful care of Aaron and his family. We will be forever grateful to them.
