Albert Joe Pagitt, age 87, of Elkhart passed away on April 11, 2017 at Elkhart Oaks Care Center in Elkhart, Texas. He was born on April 14, 1929 in Palestine, Texas to Louie Pagitt and Genevieve Rhys Pagitt. Albert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Service Medal, United States Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal for his service. He retired from the United States Border Patrol Agency in 1979. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Albert is survived by one son, Joe Pagitt and wife Joyce of Gun Barrel City, Texas; two daughters, Vandy Terrell and husband Rick of Eustace, Texas, and Vonda Pagitt of Oroville, Washington; two sisters, Carolyn Thompson and husband Jack of Palestine, Texas and Donna Blanchard of Palestine, Texas; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and numerous friends.
A celebration of life service for Mr. Pagitt will be held at 2:00 p.m. on May 6, 2017 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Foster officiating.
