Graveside services for Albert Henry "Bert" Richmond age 75 of Oakwood, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Rev. Jack Smith, Jr. officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Richmond passed away Friday March 3, 2017 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. He was born December 6, 1941 in Oakwood, Texas to Alvis Richmond and Abelena Roberts Richmond. He was a welder and was a former employee of A&E Machine Shop. He grew up helping in the peanut and cotton fields. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Enjoyed looking for arrowheads and being outdoors and he loved playing 42. He loved spending time with his family especially grandkids and great grandkids.
Mr. Richmond was preceded in death by his parents, Alvis and Abelena Richmond and a brother Wayne Richmond. He is survived by his wife Ann Richmond of Oakwood, a daughter Lana Hill and husband Jody of Tyler, sons, Alan Richmond and wife Sherry of Palestine, and Jason Milligan and wife Rachel of Oakwood, sister Audrey Peavy of Temple, brother Dean Richmond of Oakwood, five grandchildren, Chad Milligan, Shawn Milligan, Hannah Richmond, Kara Richmond, and Rylan Richmond, three great grandchildren, Jaslen Milligan, Braylon Hassell and Nate Hassell.
Pallbearers will be Shane Butler, David Lathrop, Tim Johnson, Mickey Richmond, Mark Peavy, Ric Peavy and Ben Gates.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, 207 S. Magnolia, Palestine.
