A funeral service for Bessie Louise Wallace, age 94, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 2 o'clock in the afternoon Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. Rev. Ken Rawson will officiate. Mrs. Wallace will be laid to rest at Providence Cemetery.

Mrs. Wallace passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 in Tyler.
Bessie was born November 23, 1923 in Frankston to Albert and Mamie (Glenn) Purtle.
She was a retired LVN and a member of Sunset Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Milton and Billy Joe Purtle; sisters, Florence Cope, Hedy Stover, Bonnie Holt Linda Faulk and Geneva Blackwell.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Phyllis Wallace Clark and husband Edward of Palestine and Debra Wallace Peters of Tacoma, WA; and a sister, Betty Jean Thedford of Bullard. She is also survived by grandchildren, Geoffrey Peters, Alyson Peters, Hayley Arnold, Barry Strickland, and John Paul Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Eliana Arnold, Sky Strickland, Storm Strickland, Shiloh Strickland and Cassie Johnson; and great-great-grandson, Mason Johnson.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 and friends are cordially invited to visit with Bessie's family from 6 to 8 o'clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
Pallbearers will be Jason Robins, Michael Purtle, Steven Myrick, Chad Ward and Randall Robins. Honorary pallbearers are Jay Taylor, Barry Strickland and Kyle Welsh.
