Bobby's Story

Bobby Lynn Wright, age 61, of Elkhart passed away at his home on January 26, 2017 after a sudden illness. He was born on December 26, 1955 in Palestine, Texas to Jack Wright and Joan Sheridan Wright. He loved to hunt and always wanted to kill a "Big Buck" from the truck. He loved to watch the food network and eat good food. He was retired from the Precinct #1 County Road Maintenance where he was a maintenance crewman.
Mr. Wright is survived by his wife of 35 years, Bessie Rutledge. He is also survived by brothers, Billy Jack Wright and wife Geri Lynn of Elkhart and Tim Wright and wife Dee Ann of Magnolia, Texas; niece, Kimberly Speight and husband John; and nephews, Dylan Wright and Jack Wright.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Joan Wright.
A graveside service for Mr. Wright will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Pilgrim Cemetery with Dan Manuel officiating. Pallbearers will be fellow workers from Precinct 1, Ricky Farmer, David Perry, Tommy Whittenburg, Ronnie Steadman, Steve Moody, Jim Rowe, Darrell Mack, and Commissioner Gregg Chapin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ken Lyons, Joe Chaffin and Rodney Coy.
