Services for Carolyn Dublin Linn, age 74, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Pastor Steve McCann officiating. Burial will follow in Land of Memory Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey and Foster.
Carolyn Linn died Thursday. She was born Oct. 18, 1942, in Palestine to Hugh P. Dublin, Sr. and Lula C. Deerman Dublin. Mrs. Linn was an officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for over 20 years and a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Palestine. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Hugh Linn, a daughter, Sandra "Sandy" Kay Linn and a brother, Hugh "Dub" Dublin. She is survived by a daughter, Betty Linn (Bo Sheffield); a son, Charles Hugh Linn, Jr. (Susie Linn); her brother, Larry Joe Dublin; a brother-in-law, Jack Linn (Pat Linn); a sister-in-law, Betty Ann Dublin; 4 grandchildren; and numerous well-loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Pallbearers will be Smokey Killion, BJ Perry, Bo Sheffield, Austin Dublin, Gregg Dublin, and Steve Bolt.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Dogwood Trails Assisted Living.
Condolence calls will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Station in Palestine.
