Clyce Winston Marshall


Clyce Winston Marshall, age 74, of Palestine passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Legacy at Town Creek.
He was born September 6, 1944 in Palestine, Texas to Cloyce J. Marshall and Louise Rigsdell Marshall. He had lived in Anderson County all his life and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He graduated from Westwood High School and the University of Texas. Mr. Marshall retired from Westwood Independent School District after 37 years. He was a math teacher and coach in football/basketball, assistant principal of the high school, and principal of the junior high and primary schools at Westwood. In his spare time, he enjoyed tending to his cattle.
Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, Cloyce and Louise Marshall. He is survived by his wife, Beth Marshall; son, James Becker and wife Shelsea; brother, Lindsay Marshall; and grandchildren, Savanna Holubec and Bryce Holubec.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00am Monday, August 12, 2019 at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Alex Lupo officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Park Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held Monday prior to the service from 9:00am-10:00am at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 422 S. Magnolia, Palestine, TX 75801 or to a church of your choice.
