She raised two sons, Alexander Lee Yoder and Gerald Eugene Craig in Elkhart Texas. In addition to her sons, she leaves the love of her life, Douglas Honeycutt of Tyler. Doug and Debbie met at church in Elkhart and married December 30, 2010. They were deeply devoted to caring for one another and nurturing their relationship centered in Christ.
"And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." (I Cor. 13:13) Debbie loved unconditionally and cherished every minute she was able to spend with her family and friends. In addition to Alex and Jerry (Kim), she is survived by additional children Kerrie Laza, Lesley Jennings and Randal Honeycutt; Barry, Gary, Sherry and Johnny Ray. Aurora Michelle, Trinity Grace, Jerry John and Rider Barrett; Brittany Laza, Skyler Laza, Cheslee Robinson, Tori Huffines, Taylor Lewis, Tristan Honeycutt, and Rachel Honeycutt as well as 2 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Steven Howard Nichols, Sr and Eric Michael (Elizabeth) Nichols and a sister, Katherine Ann (Ted) Brooks. Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Debbie quietly helped to care for others who she found in need. She never boasted or expected anything in return; she was a quiet servant in God's kingdom. Debbie did not need expensive gifts, quality time with family and friends brought her happiness. She simply enjoyed the simple things in life. She lived a life of love and shared it with all she met. She will be deeply missed and loved by all the lives she touched.
