Funeral services for Edward L. Cain 80 of Elkhart, will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Bailey & Foster Chapel Palestine, with Rev. Michael Moore officiating. Burial will be 4:00 PM Saturday, at Willow Creek Cemetery in Tomball. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Cain passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016, at his home. He was born June 25, 1936 in Spring, Texas to Harmon Erastus Cain and Una Mae Hill Cain. He was a truck driver for Walmart, served in the US Army, and was a member of Walston Springs Baptist Church. He loved to hunt, fish, and play dominoes, and enjoyed visiting with his family and friends and having a good story to tell.
Mr. Cain was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers; Luther and Ed Cain. He is survived by his wife Jane Cain of Elkhart, children; Vanita Hodge and husband Richard of Seguin, Susan Leppard and husband Steve of Round Top, Linda Grant of Elkhart, Donna Darsey and husband Jim of Charlotte, NC., and Steve Grant and wife Donna of Palestine, sister Verna Mae Hammack of Elkhart, brother Alvin Cain and wife Dorothy of Elkhart, grandchildren; Derrick Lane Hodge, Alyssa Hodge, Sarah Leppard, Amanda Leppard, Emma Leppard, John Edward Leppard, Caroline McCullough and husband Aaron, Courtney Darsey, Jake Darsey and wife Madeline, Jenniefer Nichols and husband Ted, and Stephanie Grant, great grandchildren; Weston Nichols and Gracie Nichols.
