Eleanor Learline Beevers, 89, passed away in Palestine on Wednesday, May 24, 2017.
Funeral services with prior visitation, will be held in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 27, 2017. Her granddaughter, Erin Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow in Old Union Cemetery.
Eleanor was born December 2, 1927 to Henry and Pauline Armstrong in Groesbeck. While working as a telephone operator in Sante Fe, NM, she her future husband. Eleanor and Marvin Finis Beevers were united in marriage in 1950. After living in Sante Fe through 1968, they moved to Waco, and then in 1970 to Groesbeck to be near her mother and sisters.
She was the beloved matriarch of her family. After her husband passed away in 2012, she moved to Palestine the next year to be near her family.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Ruth, Marie, and Mary; daughter, Rosemary Sellers; grandson, Jerry Beevers; and her husband Marvin.
She is survived by her daughters, Marsha Lammert, Kimberly Haught, son, Wayne Beevers, daughter, Velma (Jerry) Thursby (all of Palestine); grandchildren: Robert Lammert, Stephen (J. J.) Lammert, Kristy (Jamey) Wright, Eleanor Haught, Shawn (Rosie) Haught, Joseph (Lisa) Lloyd, James (LaDonna) Lloyd, Erin Lloyd (Vanessa Garcia), Jason (Bobbie) Beevers, and Amber (Imants) Pone; and fourteen great grandchildren.
