Elsie Lee Bice, 87, of Brownsboro, passed away June 24, 2017 in Tyler. She was born November 6, 1929 in Anderson County to the late Roy and Bessie Elrod. She was a member of Westwood United Methodist Church in Palestine. She spent her life as a homemaker and also worked at their grocery store, Bice Grocery in Palestine. She adored her family and loved playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren in later years. She enjoyed the outdoors and spent time collecting rocks and eggs while traveling the country.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Bice; sisters, Mary Ella Harkey, Dorothy Slover, and Sammie Cisneros; brother, Leroy Elrod; and son-in-law, Mike Healy.
Survivors include daughters, Janice Healy of Woodstock, Georgia and Mary Dunklin and husband Jim of Brownsboro; grandchildren, Michelle Brashear, Stephen Dunklin and Jay Dunklin; great grandchildren Ashlyn, Cooper and Garrett; brother, Rodney Elrod; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to a church or organization of choice. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
