Services for Florence "Tot" Titlow age 95 of Tennessee Colony will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Lynn Stroud and Rev. Edwin Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee Colony Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Titlow died Thursday November 24, 2016 at Dogwood Trails Assisted Living. She was born July 17, 1921 in San Saba County to William Reed Powell and Robbie Burk Powell. Mrs. Titlow was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church where she was a very active member and was instrumental in establishing the building fund project for the new church that she so loved. She was a honorary member of the Tennessee Colony Improvement Association. Although she worked several years for Industrial Garment Factory she spent most of her years as a housewife and mother. Family and friends knew her most for her delicious cakes and pies. Grandchildren especially looked forward to a visit and be served a cookie or piece of pound cake. She also enjoyed painting and shared her collection mostly with family. She will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Titlow was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years, Johnney A. Titlow, and a son Jerry Titlow. She is survived by her sons Johnney Titlow and wife Sandra and Gene Titlow and wife Candace all of Tennessee Colony, sisters Ida Parks of Arp, and Vera Christian of Bartlesville, OK., her brothers, Wayne Powell of Richland Springs, TX., and Norman Powell of Arp, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Clint Titlow, Tad Titlow, Jim Ricard, Johney Phelps, Zackary Phelps, Wesley Phelps, and Blake Guiljord.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to the Friendship Baptist Church building fund.
