Frank Luther Moore, 87, of Batesville, Arkansas, passed away, Monday, October 17, 2016 at his home.
Frank was born August 22, 1929 in Palestine, Arkansas to Thomas and Myrtle (Buchanan) Moore. He grew up in the Palestine area where he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his many brothers. He married Mary Lee Gardner in 1948 and they had two sons Henry Franklin and Donald Ray.
Before moving to Arizona, he married Ella Mae Taylor and they had three children. Beverly, Barbara and Roger. In Arizona he pursued his ambition of becoming a business owner. He started his own water well drilling company aptly named F.L. Moore Drilling. For many years he drilled water wells for the dairies and farmers in and around Chandler, Arizona and was very successful. He lived in Arizona for many years with his wife Ella until his retirement brought them to Linden, Texas where they lived until Ella passed away in 2000. Frank then relocated to Batesville, Arkansas and lived out his remaining years. Watching the birds from his front porch became his favorite past time in his later years. Frank was cremated on October 21, 2016 and his remains were taken to Arizona.
Frank is survived by his one son, Henry Franklin Moore of Hot Springs, AR, his daughters Beverly Lopez of Florence, AZ and Barbara Witherite of Dallas, TX; twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Lee, his second wife Ella, his sons Donald Ray of Hot Springs, AR and Roger Moore of Gilbert, AZ.
