Services for Fredia Jean Woody age 73 of Palestine will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Rev. Gary Fitzgerald officiating. Private burial will follow in Malakoff City Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to and provided by Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mrs. Woody passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 at Cartmell Home for Aged. She was born May 23, 1944 in Grand Prairie, Texas to Amon F. Moore, Sr. and Willie Evelyn Cook Moore. Mrs. Woody was a member of the Westwood Methodist Church. She was a QVC fanatic, had a green thumb, an awesome baker, loved garage sales and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Woody was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Stephanie Romine and Sheila Hutchison and a brother Amon F. Moore, Jr. She is survived by a daughter Glenna "Sissy" Lackey and husband Dwayne of Elkhart, a son Billy Hutchison and wife Mandy of Saginaw, TX., sister Fern Collier and husband Butch of Palestine, eight grandchildren, Beau Hutchison, Michaele Aguilar, Joshua Lackey, Devin Lackey, Kayla Rodgers, Maigan Greer, Naithan Hutchison and Austin Hutchison, fourteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Beau Hutchison, Josh Lackey, Naithan Hutchison, Austin Hutchison, Gabriel Aguilar, Jr., Dustin Rogers, Devin Lackey and Tony Greer.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, 207 S. Magnolia, Palestine, TX. 75801.
Aspecial thanks to all her girls and nurses at the Home Place wing at Cartmell Home for taking great care of her. Also to the ones at Dialysis. You all will always have a special place in our hearts.
