Had lots of fun with Uncle G. His last visit here we did some riding around here on Lake Palestine and East Texas. The next morning we just set on my porch looking at the Lake having some good coffee with just a pinch of Bailey's thus creating another memory as we talked about Old Times. Uncle G, if anyone wonders, I say Uncle G which means Gerald or Generosity. The Back Story is that he had 3 sibling's that suffered from Friedreich's Ataxia. They were Janie, Bennie, and my Mom, Patricia. We were very poor and the biggest thrill of our young Lives was when Uncle G and Aunt Hazel would rent the screened cabins at Lake Jacksonville. Along with many of our family he would insure Mom and us boys... were there and it would make our summer special not to mention other acts of generosity. As the page turns He was "The Man" always on call for Bennie in Houston whether he had fallen out of his chair, went shopping, Dr., or just for a ride. So what if a cuss word may "slip" on one of these calls if inconvenient :-) He was always there. I also enjoyed my time as a roomie with him at Snug Harbor on Lake Conroe. Some may not know or remember that he was also an excellent Chef shunning fast food often saying lets have some "Good Food", and just start cooking. We would also head out dancing on occasion. A simple cup of coffee with a tad of Amaretto would unleash "Geraldine", The Lean, Mean, Dancing Machine. Pure EnerGy. He's the last of JP and Faye's Children and I will miss him. Thank's for The Good Times Uncle GRead more

I love you daddy! I miss you so much. You gave cancer a Helluva Run ( as the say in racing). You gave us some of the greatest memories a kid could ask for..
Wishing we were tinkering on an engine or running wide open give in the boat on the water. I know if you are giving those angels a run for the money. When I asked you two send me some angels and you replied.. I already gave you two. And you were right. Thank you for being the greatest grandpa and daddy. You were Hell when you were well and seldom sick. Til we meet again. Love your number one baby girl.
