Heinz Kurt Herbert Bromme, 86, of Elkhart, Tx passed away October 14, 2016. He was the son of Erich and Mariechen (Stephan) Bromme and was born October 8, 1930 in Nordenham, Germany. While Heinz was his given name, he was known by his family and friends as "Opa".

Music came naturally to Opa. He was part of the choir, played the piano, accordion, and harmonica to name a few. He was athletic and excelled in soccer and bowling. He loved to garden, solve crossword puzzles and never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy.
Opa will be greatly missed by his wife of 64 years, Ursula; daughter, Barbara (Andy) Keeton; sister, Erika May; grandchildren, Jeremy (Kimberly) and Maria (Joshua); great-grandchildren, Amaya and Keeton; nieces, Irene, Karie, Ulrike and Ellie; nephews, Hans Gerd and Daniel; sister-in-law, Gertrud. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister (Christa), brother (Gerd), and brother-in-law (Frank).
