Hilaria "Lala" Adams, age 66, of Palestine, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, the 28th day of October, 2017. Mrs. Adams was born on the 24th day of June, 1951 to Raymond Mendez and Lidia Medina in Hay Springs, Nebraska. Lala was a housewife who loved to cook pastries, desserts and Mexican food. She also enjoyed dancing and quilting.
Lala is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Mendez; daughter, Sandra Ray Adams; brothers, Reynaldo "Big Ray" Mendez and Reyes "Little Ray" Mendez.
Lala Adams is survived by her husband of 45 years, Rodney Adams of Palestine, Texas; mother, Lidia Medina of Princeton, Texas; daughter, Sandi Cash and husband Jeffrey of Winona, Texas; son, James Adams of Palestine, Texas; sisters, Elida Reyna and Alisia Rodriguez; grandchildren, Alexander Chase Cash, Alyssa Marie Cash, Lidia Ray Adams, James Rodney Forrest Adams Jr. and Kourtny Cash.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o'clock until eight o'clock in the evening on Thursday, the 2nd day of November, 2017 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel at Rhone Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Hilaria "Lala" Adams will be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Friday, the 3rd day of November, 2017 at Calvary Christian Center in Oakwood, Texas. Brother Jack Smith will be officiating. Following services, upon her request, Lala will be cremated.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Alex Cash, Michael Renya, Wally Renya, Shawn Moreland, James Pacer Moreland, Christopher Moreland, Rene Rodriguez, John Reyna, Josh Reyna and Jacob Reyna.
