Ivan (Bob) Hardin, 93, went to his heavenly home October 5, 2017. He was born April 2, 1924, to Floyd and Winnie Bailey Hardin in Gary, Texas. He served with honor in WWII with the Marines at Midway. While stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC he married Mary, his wife of nearly 69 years. They moved to Texas where he worked for many years in oilfield related services.
Preceding him in death were wife, Mary, brother, Eldridge, sisters, Juanita Adams and Wanda Fruits. Surviving him are children, Beverly, Lee and wife Terry and Barry; grandchildren Bonnie, Michael, Stephanie and Ashleigh, sisters, Imogene Pedro, Elsie Morgan, Barbara Moore and husband Bob, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 PM, with services at 10:00 AM Monday, October 9, 2017 at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Bro. Jason Driskell officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Palestine.
