James "Scottie" Munro, age 71, of Palestine, Texas passed away suddenly on Monday, the 15th day of January, 2018 at Palestine Regional Medical Center. James was born in Stirling, Scotland on the 9th day of February, 1946 to Lewis Munro and Ann Baxter Munro. He was retired from the construction business and enjoyed tinkering and fixing things around the house.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Ann Munro. James is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sally Paton Munro of Palestine, Texas; sister, Hellen Hughs of Scotland; brother, William Munro and wife Mary of Scotland; sister-in-law, Eleanor Robertson and husband Peter of Tyler, Texas; niece, Heather Jones and family.
Respecting James's wishes, he will be cremated and taken home to Scotland to be buried.
