John Jacob Henry, age 22, of Gun Barrel City, passed away on March 28, 2017 in Big Spring, Texas. He was born on November 15, 1994 in Palestine, Texas to Thomas Frank Henry and Dana Lynn Stanton Henry. He was employed as a truck driver for Schilli Trucking Company. Jacob loved the outdoors. He loved to fish and hunt, and he liked driving his truck and four-wheeler. He was a very caring and loving person who will be missed by all who loved him. Jacob was preceded in death by his father.
Those left to lovingly remember Jacob are his mother, Dana Stanton Henry and her fiancé, Glenn Henry of Crockett, Texas; fiancé, Kristi Taylor; sisters, Jodi Trout and husband Rob of Montalba, Texas and Shelby Lynn Alexander and husband Brandon of Hubert, North Carolina; nieces, Aaliyah Trout and Brooklynn Moss; nephew, Jacob Allen Moss; sister-in-law, Holli Moss; brother-in-law, Blake Taylor; and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be held at Rhone Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. with Lance Satterwhite officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Rhone Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Josh Jones, Jagger Cisnero, Bubba Hayes, Blake Taylor, Jason Henry and David Magourik. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Trout, Brandon Alexander and Nathan Moss.
