Lorene's Story

Lorene Norman was born December 26, 1924 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to James Richard and Willie Mae Washington. She died January 5, 2018 at the age of 93 in her home in Palestine, Texas.
She moved to St. Paul, Minnesota at a young age and then to California in her early twenties. She met and married Berdell (Bert) Norman in 1952. They had been married 57 years at the time of his death.
Lorene dedicated her life to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1952. She loved to teach the Bible to others and began at home with her children. She helped many others to learn about the loving God she worshipped. She had strong faith in the Bible's promise of eternal life in a paradise earth (Psalms 37:29).
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two siblings Richard and Jean and one son, Bert Jr. She is survived by her children Corty (Diane) Bell, David (Donna Olivia)Norman, Sheri Herring, Jimmy (Chunda) Norman, Darrell (Donna Alexis) Norman, Bernice (Marcus) Bland and Sandra (Gerald) Hyche, 33 grand children and 33 great-grand children along with many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and her large spiritual family in the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Memorial Services will be held January 13th at 11 AM. Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. 1511 State Highway 155, Palestine, Texas.
