Margaret's Story

Margaret Ann Wilson Kenderdine (Marty) went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 11, 2017 in Tyler, Texas.  Marty's strong faith and love for the Lord were the foundation of her life.   She was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church where she ministered in prayer, served in the hand signing choir, and taught Sunday School for many years. Funeral services for Marty, 72 of Palestine, will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Southside Baptist Church, with Rev. David English officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.
She was born May 23, 1944, in Rochester, MN., to Dr. Benjamin Wilson and Dorothy McElroy Wilson. Shortly thereafter, her family moved to Tyler where she spent her childhood prior to moving to Palestine.  Marty was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bob Kenderdine, daughters; Elizabeth Hope and husband Glen of Elkhart, Nancy Morris and husband Mark of Boerne, and Kathryn Gary and husband Steven of Burleson, son Robert Kenderdine of Grapevine, sister Nancy Moore and husband Lynn of Tyler, brother Dr. Bob Wilson of Edgewood, grandchildren; Kyle, Kurt, Daniel, Jacob, Matt, Maggie, and Madison, and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons; Kyle Hope, Daniel Hope, Kurt Hope, Jacob Gary, Matthew Morris, Glen Hope, Steven Gary, and Mark Morris. Marty's caregivers blessed her life in these last days and the family is eternally grateful for the loving hands of Brenda Crist, Tabatha Brager and Sylvia Hawkins in their care for Marty.
Condolence calls will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Palestine
