Graveside services for Marian "Nana" Thompson age 88 of Palestine will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Palestine City Cemetery with George Hull officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Thompson died Thursday at her residence. She was born January 14, 1928 in Houston to Hiram and Nan Urquhart Muse. She graduated from Palestine High School, she was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Thompson loved to play games and travel.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents Hiram and Nan Muse, her husband R.E. Thompson, and brothers, Lamar Muse and Kindred Muse. She is survived by a daughter Sherry McGee of Athens, sons Ken Thompson of Flint and Bubba Thompson of Troup, and a sister-in-law Dot Hicks of Palestine, a granddaughter Tabitha McGee Hull and spouse George Hull of Athens, and one great granddaughter, Myriah Hull of Athens.
Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the cemetery.
