Nancy L. Fendley Franklin, age 65, of Palestine, passed from this life into her eternal life with Jesus on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Franklin was born on September 10, 1951 in Houston, Texas to James Clayton Fendley and Florence Nadine Robertson Fendley. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family and loved the Lord. She was a member of Broyles Chapel Baptist Church.
Nancy enjoyed helping others and worked at several nursing homes in Palestine. She was employed at Cartmell Home for the Aged for 23 years as a Food Service Manager. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Florence Fendley; brother, Carl Fendley; mother-in-law, Wanda Elaine Franklin; sister-in-law, Donna Fendley; and niece, Crystal Fendley.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Terry Franklin of Palestine; four daughters, Linda and husband Brant Morton of Granbury, Rebecca Richards of Palestine, Jennifer Kennedy and husband Robert of Palestine, Sheila Blevins and husband Chris of Palestine; sons, James Franklin of Palestine, William Halstead and wife Jennifer of Washington State; brothers, Glenn Fendley and James Fendley; grandchildren, Amber and husband Thomas Cumston, Josh Morton, Jerry Richards, Jacob Richards, Travis Blevins, Clayton Blevins, Jonathan and wife Brittany Phillips, Courtney and husband Josh Hill, Alaina Phillips, Brittny Kennedy, Conner Kennedy, Brandon Franklin, Justin Franklin, Ary, Chloe, Courtney, and Dakota Halstead; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Rhone Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held at Rhone Memorial Chapel on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. David Franklin and Bro. Kevin Willmott officiating.
