Funeral services for Olga Mae Chaffin were held 10:00 AM Monday, February 27, 2017, at Guiceland Chapel, with Rev. David Franklin officiating. Burial was in Guiceland Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Chaffin passed away Friday, February 24, 2017, at Whitehall Nursing Home in Crockett. She was born September 26, 1926 in Houston County to Marshall and Mable Rich. She was a homemaker, and an active member of Sandflat Missionary Baptist Church and the community. She loved her family.
Mrs. Chaffin was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arnold Chaffin, sisters; Louise Bennett and Maxine Grau, brother Doyle Bennett and granddaughter, Michelle Warner. She is survived by daughters; Sharon Chaffin Sink of Granbury, and Barbara Chaffin Dabney of Cold Springs, sons; David Lynn Chaffin and Walter Chaffin both of Elkhart, twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Allen Chaffin, David Wayne Chaffin, Chase Chaffin, A.J. Dabney, Matthew Dabney, Cody Sink, Jaden Villarreal, Julian Villarreal, and Camarron Mixon.
Condolence calls were from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Bailey & Foster Grapeland Chapel.
