Text size

Rhoda Mae Reagan Longmire was born in Houston, Texas on November 14, 1931. She entered Heaven's gates on April 3, 2018.
Rhoda was predeceased by her favorite cowboy and loving husband of 62 years, Lowell Kenneth Longmire. She was also predeceased by her dearly loved brother L.E. Reagan and her parents Georgia Sager Reagan and Lester Earl Reagan Sr. Rhoda is survived by her daughters Rhonda Longmire Thomas and Mona Longmire Stevens and her sister-in-law Cecilia Anne Cleboski Reagan. She is beloved by seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and devoted nieces and nephews.
Rhoda was a consummate mother and homemaker, serving as the president of the PTA and Houstonnette Mother's club. She was an accountant and an accomplished seamstress who masterfully created frilly confections to board shorts and patiently shared her craft with her daughters and grandchildren.
Rhoda retired to Palestine with her sweetheart Lowell, where she was a resident for 32 years. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and served as both a Sunday School Class Secretary and volunteer Librarian. The family asks that in lieu of flowers you honor Rhoda with a monetary donation to Southside Baptist Church Media Library.
Rhoda was fiercely strong; she was a protector and an encourager. In life and death she will forever be a warrior for all those she loved so well. Romans 8:38-39
