Funeral services for Sally McGee Kennedy, 81 of Elkhart, will be held 2:00 PM Sunday August 27, 2017 at Bailey & Foster Chapel Palestine, with Bro. Willie Reagan officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to and provided by Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Palestine.
Mrs. Kennedy passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at her home. She was born January 17, 1936 in Navasota, to John McGee and Clara Lou Ketchum Sheffield. She was a Pediatric RN, and loved to care for the children, and also loved gardening, arts and crafts, and quilting. She enjoyed helping with community services.
Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bobby Kennedy, sister Mary Lou Turner, and brother Jack McGee. She is survived by daughters; Laura K. Chapman and husband David S. of Pearland, and Suzanne K. Burnie and husband James of New Braunfels, sons; Stewart Nolan Kennedy of Elkhart, Mark Stokes Kennedy and wife Debbie of Elkhart, and Brett Parker Kennedy and wife Sonia of Houston, sisters; Ann Colley of Round Rock, Claire Rohde of Tomball, and Jeanette Stark of Kerbyville, twelve grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
