Wesley Francis Kennedy, born March 4, 1960 in Frankfurt, Germany and a longtime resident of Palestine, Texas passed away October 8 surrounded by his family in Chandler, Texas.
Wesley was an employee of TDCJ-ID and worked at the Coffield and Powledge Units for 20 years in their maintenance department as an electrician.
Wesley was a family man who loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, music, and his friends.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kimberley; sons, Zachariah Francis Kennedy and wife, Jennifer of Chandler, Texas and Joshua Francis Kennedy and fiancee', Jenny Pounds of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Noah Francis Kennedy and Natalie Renee Kennedy; sisters, Sheila Kennedy-Martin and husband, Ron of Watertown, New York and Renita Kennedy-Nelson and husband, Alex of Franklin, Louisiana; and brother Shannon Kennedy of Dover, New Jersey as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Ankoet Cole; father, Brian Francis Kennedy; sons Nathanial Francis and Jacob Francis Kennedy.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Harmony Baptist Church in Palestine, Texas November 4, 2017 @ 1:00 PM.
