Memorial services for Wince R. Thomas age 71 of Palestine will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 15, 2017 at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Mike Parker officiating. Private burial will be at Thomas Home Place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Thomas passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at his residence. He was born May 23, 1945 in Anderson County to Barney and Bonnie Bishop Thomas. Mr. Thomas retired from the oilfield in 1983 where he worked for Mobil Well Service, Pool Well Service, Atco, Barber Well Service in Kilgore, and Well Test in Carthage. He was also retired from TDCJ from the Beto unit in 2001 where he was a craft yard supervisor. Mr. Thomas possessed good work ethics was a very hard working man and provided for his family. Mr. Thomas loved to hunt, fish and woodworking. He was a man of all trades. He finally made his dream trip to elk hunt in Colorado.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lillie Christian, and a brother Barney Thomas. He is survived by his wife Rhonda Thomas of Palestine, nine children, Heather Crutcher and husband Jason, Daniel Thomas and wife Kati, Jay Wilke, Sharon Different and husband Tim all of Palestine, Bonnie Hensley and husband Michael of Kerrville, Reagan Thomas and Wince Thomas II all of Teague, Jennifer Huddleston and husband Martin of Palestine, Dee Riggs of Lufkin, seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, a sister Marion Starr of Elkhart.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Monday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, 207 S. Magnolia, Palestine, TX.
