Casey Lee Williamson, age 41, of Palestine passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Casey was born May 10, 1976, in Richmond, Texas to James C. and Shirley Quick Williamson. He attended Westwood I.S.D. until graduating in 1994. He attended Trinity Valley College receiving an Associate's Degree in 1996. He was briefly in the U.S. Army until he was discharged because of a broken leg and his muscular dystrophy was causing him greater problems.
He loved music from band days on. He taught himself to play guitar and piano. Casey had a big heart and was always trying to help people by letting them borrow his car, driving friends places, and letting them use his washer and dryer, etc.
He is survived by his parents, James and Shirley Williamson; brother, Charlie Williamson and wife Allison; niece and nephew, Jay Williamson and Jenna Williamson; and uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Memorials may be made to the First Methodist Church, 422 S. Magnolia St., Palestine, TX 75801 or to the Howard House Museum, 1011 N. Perry St., Palestine, TX 75801.
Visitation and condolence calls will be held from 1 P.M. until 3 P.M. on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
