Funeral services for Cody Martin Lusk, 37, of Palestine, Texas are scheduled for 10 am on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at the Evangelistic Temple in Palestine and graveside services will follow at 3 pm at Whitney Memorial Park in Whitney, Texas with pastors Michael Lumpkins and Willie Williams officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home in Palestine.
Cody passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017, in Palestine. He was born June 24, 1979, in Ogden, Utah. He had lived in the Palestine area for 4 years. He loved fishing, hunting and to fellowship with his friends and family. He was a member of the Tres Dias Ministry and attended Evangelistic Temple. Cody enjoyed his work in telecommunications and was the owner/operator of Fidelis Technologies, which he built from the ground up. He was a 1997 graduate of Whitney High School. Cody had served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1997-2002. He earned an Associate's Degree in Biomedical Technology from Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Royce Benton Lusk and Evelyn Corinne Lusk.
Cody is survived by his wife of 4 years, Jessica Lusk of Palestine; daughters, Abigail Lane Lusk of Palestine and Addison Lusk of Tyler; his mother and father Larry Lusk and Sharolyn of Weches and mother, Joy Hogue of Emory; brothers, Clifford Lusk and Teresa of Arlington, Corey Whitley and Chaela of Jacksonville, Nathan Curling of Emory, Tripp Hogue of Greenville, Barry Starr of San Antonio, and Bret Starr of Fort Worth; sisters, Corinna Ford and husband Chris of Rusk, Connie Gailley and husband Jason of Greenville, and Rachel Mitchell and husband of Emory; nieces, Evelyn Peters, Alaina Zwar, Katie Gailley, Emily Gailley, Emily Lusk, and Lydia Gailley and nephews Caden Peters, Patrick Gailley, Conrad Curling, Timothy Lusk, and Benjamin Lusk; and numerous other family and close friends.
Pallbearers will be Chris Ford, Paul Hancock, Jeremy Zwar, Scott Shambaugh, Nathan Pass, Drew Holder, Greg Commander, Bo Culpepper, Brian Culpepper, Corey Whitley, Tripp Hogue, Nathan Curling, Chad Arnold, and Cliff Lusk.
Condolences will be received from 6-8 pm on Monday, January 23, 2017, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
