Jimmy Howard Gore, age 65, of Oakwood went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, the 10th day of July, 2017. Jimmy was born in Anderson County on the 4th day of November, 1951 to Eugene Gore and Edith Elrod. Jimmy loved to go hunting, fishing and search for arrowheads. He was a song writer and had a passion for music. Jimmy enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. Mr. Gore was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Oakwood.
Mr. Gore is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Edith Gore and one brother, Forrest Gore.
Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Jenny Agapiou and husband Chris of Oakwood, Holly Stenger of Gainesville; sons, Sam Gore and wife Brandy of Centerville, Trinity Gore of Athens; sister, Paula Gore of Jewett; brother, Jamie Gore; twelve grandchildren, Lane Agapiou, Landen Agapiou, Lance Agapiou, Laney Agapiou, Leana Gore, Hunter Gore, Jake Gore, Emma Gore, Shyla Davilla, Ethan Robertson, Joseph Robertson and Emily Gore.
A visitation for family and friends will be conducted from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock in the evening on Saturday, the 15th day of July in the reflection room and parlor of Rhone Funeral Home.
A graveside service for Jimmy Gore will be held at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 16th day of July, 2017 at Steven Cemetery in Flo, Texas with Paul Pryor officiating.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Gore, Landen Agapiou, Lane Agapiou, Lance Agapiou, Wyndell Gore, J.C. Howze, Ethan Robertson, Joseph Robertson, and Elmo Gore.
