Andrew David Salguero Obituary

Oakwood, Texas - Andrew David Salguero blessed this world with his birth February 13,

2008 in Guatemala City, Guatemala to parents Hugo and Stacy Salguero, which made him a dual-citizen; something he was very proud of. He passed on April 23, 2025, in Oakwood, Tx.

Andrew was witty, intelligent, loving, talented, funny, and mischievous.

His favorite color was purple, probably because it's the color of

royalty! He loved to joke and make people around him smile. He

participated in numerous school and church activities including sports, theatre, and Ag. He recently excelled as an actor on his high school one act play team- earning several medals for the zany characters he portrayed on stage. He loved playing video games, building things,

cracking jokes and capturing snapshots of his friends in Walmart when they weren't looking.

Andrew is survived by his sister, Elena Salguero, and parents Hugo and Stacy.

Grandparents Stanley and Kathy Stevens of Oakwood, TX, and Maria

Sanabria Salguero and Victor Hugo Salguero of Guatemala. Aunts, Uncles and cousins as follows: Leah and Rusty Holcomb and sons Ryan Holcomb and Brady Holcomb. Tracy and Jimmy Reed and children Sarah Drennen, Caroline Reed, and Luke Reed. Tiffany and Jeremy Allen and their children Carson

Allen, Kamryn Allen, and Calli Allen. Tonya and Michael Zuniga and son Preston Zuniga. Lesvia Salguero and children Yuam Pop, Tojil Pop, and Jordi Pep Salguero. Daniel and Majorie Salguero, and many more friends and family that are too numerous to name.

Honorary pall bearers are Ryan Holcomb, Brady Holcomb, Luke Reed, Carson Allen, Preston Zuniga, Tojil Pop, and Jordi Pep Salguero.

A celebration of Andrew's life will be Saturday, April 26th, 2025 at Oakwood ISD auditorium at 10:00 AM with Pastor Brian Leichty and Pastor Jimmy Reed officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made Mt. Pisgah Cemetery at Oakwood Bank or to P.O. Box 102, Oakwood, TX 75855.

Andrew tragically left us too soon, but would want to be remembered for his joy and the laughter he so loved. A laughter that filled the room.

Psalm 30:11: "You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You

have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy."
