Palestine, Texas - Services for Helen L. Hudson, age 93 of Palestine will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Bailey and Foster Chapel with Dan Manuel officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee Colony Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home.

Helen died Monday, June 30. She was born September 10, 1931 in Palestine to William Lewis and Lottie Thelma Goebel. She graduated from Palestine High School in 1950 and from Nixon Business School. Helen worked for Royall National Bank as the Commercial Teller for 42 years. She was a lifelong member of Tennessee Colony Church.

Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Harold L. Hudson, two sisters, Willie Giles and Dorothy Edgeworth and one brother Robert Goebel.

She is survived by son Harold Mark Hudson and wife ShaRee, daughters Melissa Ann Woodard and husband Paul, and Melinda Kay Higuera and husband Scott, four grandchildren Shayla Willmott ( Kent), Kyle Woodard, (Paige),Shawn Mark Hudson ( Mallory) and Makenzie Hudson. Eight great-grand Children, Hudson Willmott, Jaxon Willmott, Walker Willmott, Camille Woodard, Elise Woodard, Cannon Hudson, Hayes Hudson and Tatum Hudson. Several nieces and nephews and sister- in-law Sarah Goebel.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Woodard, Shawn Mark Hudson, Kent Willmott, Jeff Croft, Doug Lightfoot, and Roger Dale Cross. In memory pallbearers will be Donald Wayne Cross and Joe Radford.

The family wishes to say they are so grateful for the amazing staff of nurses from Heart to Heart Hospice and everyone at Windermere at Cartmell Assisted Living for making sure her last few days were so peaceful.

Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Bailey and Foster Funeral Home in Palestine.
