Jerry Randolph Holcomb
August 15, 1941 - January 2, 2026
Jerry Randolph Holcomb, 84, of Palestine, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026. Born in Anderson County, August 15, 1941, he developed a love for flying airplanes early in life. He earned his pilots license at the age of 18. He served his local community as a police officer and detective for the Palestine Police Department. He also obtained his broadcast license, where he worked as a DJ for KNET. He managed the Palestine and Jacksonville airports for many years. He earned his doctorate in biblical studies and had a lifelong passion for helping others with his teachings. His hobbies were all things electronic and computer technology.
He is preceded in death by his father, Oley "Jack" Holcomb, mother, Evelyn Jesmin Moore, and sister, Judy Willingham.
He is survived by his sister, Janice Jones; children, Charlene Watson, Christie Beatty, Kevin Holcomb, Jennifer Autrey, and Lydia Stafford; step children, Sarah Hall, Lisa Crawford and Amanda McKinney; Grandchildren, Sarah Studdard, Christopher Watson, Drew Watson, Keanan Raines, Kyle Raines, Kelly Patel, Kristen Rogers, William Rogers III, Mason Autrey, Mellissa Autrey, Austin Handorf, and Hali Carvajal; 17 great grandchildren, many nephews and niece.
A family memorial will be scheduled at a later date.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
