Palestine, Texas - Linda Rankin Beasley, 75, passed away on August 26, 2025.

Linda was born in Palestine, TX in 1950. She was a graduate of Harlingen High School where she was Cardette and had many friends. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Tarleton State University, an accomplishment that she was extremely proud of.

Linda married the love of her life, Dane Beasley in 1970, and they enjoyed many years together until his death in 2019. They were proud parents of two children and one grandchild.

Mrs. Beasley was an elementary school teacher and was very proud of it. She touched countless lives while teaching in districts across the state. She taught the longest at Crockett Elementary School in Crockett, TX and made many life-long friends there. She loved to read, garden, cook, and take long drives while listening to Motown, 60s rock, and country music. Over the last couple of years, Linda loved spending time with her long-awaited grandson most of all. All who knew her will miss her kind heart.

Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kathryn Beasley Walther and Chad Walther of Aubrey, TX; grandson, Nicholas Dane Walther; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy Rankin and Belinda Rankin of Paige, TX and Ron Rankin and Deanna Rankin of San Antonio, TX; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband Dane Beasley, daughter Ashley Beasley, and parents Bill and Melba Rankin.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 5th, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Roselawn Park in Palestine, TX. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
