Palestine, Texas - Services for Linda Lopez Magallanez, 87, of Palestine, Texas will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, June 4, 2025. A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic church, with Father Johnathan Frels officiating. The rosary will be at 6:00pm, Tuesday, June 3,2025 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Linda died peacefully at her home in Palestine on May 27, 2025. She was born on January 18, 1938 in Luling, Texas. Linda was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary.

Linda is survived by her children, Elisa Morgan and Joe Magallanez Jr. ; grandchildren, Amy Schwab, Dr. Shannon Chin, Bobby Wilmeth, Valerie Magallanez, Matthew Smith, Samantha Andrews, Joseph Magallanez, Josh Herod, & Michael Smith, several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Elisa Alvarez, of Luling, Texas.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Arcadio & Thomasa Lopez, her loving husband, Joe Magallanez, Sr., her daughters Eva Herod and Terresa Smith, and her son-in-law Stephen Smith.
