Flint, Texas - Mary Sue Walker Plank, affectionately known as "Shu Shu" age 86, of Flint, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was born August 28, 1939 in Tyler, Texas to Pinkney and Lorene Prater Bryant. She graduated from Lindale High School in 1958. After graduating she started Walker Insurance Services and dedicated over 30 years to serving the insurance needs of teachers and school employees in North Texas. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and a faithful member of Christ Community Church in Palestine, Texas.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Christ Community Church, 5625 S. Loop 256, Palestine, TX. 75801.

Mrs. Plank was preceded by her parents, Pinkney and Lorene Prater Bryant, son Greg Chamness, brothers, Jack Bryant, Bill Bryant, B.T. Bryant, and Bob Bryant, and a sister Dorabeth Bunch. She is survived by her loving husband Eugene Plank, son, Kerry Don Chamness and wife Brenda, sisters Coralee McClenny and Fayrene Ellett, grandson Brock Chamness, granddaughter Karas Stanley and husband Lance, great grandson Blake Chamness and great granddaughters, Leigha Stanley and Taylor Stanley.
