Mrs. Grimsley
Linda passed away peacefully at age 82, surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a life full of compassion, humor, and quiet strength.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved father, Elza Robert Sanders; her mother, Dovie Lee Sanders Theall; her grandparents, Jake and Lorena Teel; and her brother, Robert Lawrence Sanders. She is survived by her devoted children: Terri Lynn Salmon and husband Timmy, Debora Kay Work and husband Michael, and Dennis Robert Grimsley and wife Kristi. Linda's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Wade Salmon and wife Maxine, Melani Dowdy and husband Matt, Logan Salmon and wife Haley, Cortney Crawford and husband Michael, Sarah Patton and husband Ryan, Spence McDonald and wife Lyndsey, Elliott McDonald, Rodney Grimsley, and Ryan Real and husband Colton. She was blessed with a loving and lively group of great-grandchildren: Riley Salmon and Sara Henson-Salmon, Grace Salmon, Maverick Salmon, Lucy Salmon, Tenley Rogers, Kapp Dowdy, Triniti Poling, Aspen Salmon, Jett Salmon, Trinity Crawford, Sawyer Crawford, Bryce Smith, Isabella Frith, Corbin Taylor, Lacy McDonald, and Malcolm McDonald, and Elias Rodney Real.
Her love reached yet another generation with her great-great-grandchild: River Wade Salmon.
Linda's life was defined by her compassion, resilience, and quiet determination. In her late forties, she proudly earned her LVN license and began a second career of caring for others with grace and dedication. Her natural gift for nurturing shone brightly through her work and her home life, where she was the heart of her family. She helped raise four generations—offering love, wisdom, and a steady hand to all who leaned on her.
Linda also had a sharp mind and seemed to know something about everything. She was famous among family and friends for her hilarious dry comebacks and clever wit—offering the kind of humor that could leave you laughing long after she'd said the line. Her playful spirit and knowing smile brought joy to even the ordinary moments and reminded everyone that humor was a form of love, too.
Her memory will be forever cherished by those who were blessed to know her and inspired by the life she so gently and generously lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Dementia Society of America in Linda's honor at HYPERLINK "https://www.dementiasociety.org" \hwww.dementiasociety.org

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
