Quincy Quincy Lee Roland (Adams)

Quinclyn Lee Roland (Adams), age 82, of Sachse, Texas passed away unexpectedly Monday April 14, 2025 at her residence. She was born July 31, 1942, in Palestine, Texas. Daughter of the late Winfred Shoemaker Adams and Ethel Grace Adams (Lee).

Quincy was born and raised in Palestine. She graduated from Palestine High School in 1960 and enjoyed many friends and high school activities, of which included cheerleading, voted Cutest Girl and the 1960 Prom Queen. She attended Crockett Road Church of Christ while growing up in Palestine. In 1961 Quincy married the late Stephen Hillier and had 3 children together. After moving around for several years they settled in Irving, Texas where she lived, worked and raised her family.

Quincy was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Marvin W. Roland, sister Lily Ann Hughes (Adams) and niece Melanie Dorman.

She spent many years in the corporate world and continued her long time love of piano teaching for 25 plus years.

Her family was the most important thing to her. Children, grands and great grands, siblings, nieces and nephews and her very large extended family - each and every one held a special place in her heart.
Quincy's love of the Lord showed in all she did, her most important goal was to make sure her family knew God and the importance of that relationship.

Those who knew Quincy will remember her for her infectious smile, sweet spirit, and deep-rooted faith in Jesus. Her love, faith and example will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.

Quincy is survived by daughters Stephanie Lee Hillier and Lisha Marie Butler (Curtis) and son Reagan Stephen Hillier (Tina) and Jennie Lee Roden (Mark), 7 grandchildren and 12 great grands, with one on the way. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Celebration of life will be held at the Wylie Church of Christ, Saturday May 3, 2025 @ 11:00.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
