Teddy  Ward
Services for Teddy Ward age 76 of Palestine, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 in Tyler. He was born on April 11, 1943 in Goose Creek, Texas to Virginia Gilmore Ward and Theodore Roosevelt Ward. Teddy proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War 1965-1967 receiving the Purple Heart. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer from 1969 to 2003. He had a deep love for old cars, racing and fishing.
Teddy was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Theodore Ward, brother Jerry Ward, and grandson TJ Weeks. He is survived by his wife and his best friend Rinda Ward of Palestine, sons, Stephen Ward of Liverpool, TX., Richard Ward and wife Brandie of Danbury, TX., Jason Otto of Channelview, TX., and Trey Munsey of West Virginia, grandchildren, Taylor Scott and wife Jordyn, Kyler Ward, Gavin Ward, Robby Munsey and Georgia Weeks, great grandchildren, Gracie Scott and Rowdy Ray, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews along with many friends.
A special thanks to Michael Pace, Cody and Raychelle Ray and extended family and friends for all of the love and support.
A celebration of life for Teddy is pending and will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
