Violet Marie (Culp) Reinhard passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospital in Plano at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Leland Reinhard; her daughter, Kathleen Reinhard; her parents, Ben and Ella Culp; and her brother, Ben Culp, Jr.

Violet graduated from Somerset High School and soon after married Leland prior to his being shipped overseas during World War II. The Reinhard's moved to Palestine in 1954 and lived there until 2011 when they moved to Dallas to be nearer their daughter. Violet worked in the administrative offices of the Missouri Pacific Railroad Hospital. She also was a special education aide and drove the mobile speech unit to elementary schools in Palestine for several years. After "retirement" she worked at the Merle Norman Studio. As a young child she began going to high school football games with her mother and younger brother. She continued to enjoy football the rest of her life, spending weekends watching college football (her favorite) and following the Dallas Cowboys. She could talk to you about the draft, the secondary and who needed to get traded if they didn't improve.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Marlowe and her husband John of Richardson; as well as her son, Leland "Totty" Reinhard of Cleburne. Other survivors include two sisters, Patsy Culp Oleson of Nederland, and Ann Minton West of San Antonio. She was blessed with six grandchildren: Aimee Avery, Darrel Amen, Ashley Wolfe, Lindsey Mahler, Rebekah Harris, Paulius Packevicius; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be available at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral home until Friday noon, followed by a private graveside celebration of her life and burial at Land of Memory Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
