Garland, Texas - William Dockendorf, 64, of Garland, TX passed away in his home on Oct. 21. William was born January 14, 1961 to Robert Dockendorf and Carolyn Crawford Dockendorf in Tyler, TX and moved shortly thereafter to Palestine, TX where he grew up along his brother Brian Dockendorf. He graduated from Palestine High School in 1979 and from MIT in 1983, He then moved to the Dallas area and worked as a computer programmer. He married Elizabeth Cunningham in 1996 in Fort Worth.
William was a remarkably intelligent, kind and generous person who was always thinking about others and their needs. He was an avid gamer who loved and was good at games of all sorts. He deeply loved animals and did much to help animals in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
William is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his brother Brian Dockendorf and sister-in-law Noreen, nephews Matthew and Kyle Dockendorf and Alexander Coburn and many other nieces and nephews and by his beloved pets Annie, Marzipan, Artemis and Mr. Fluffy.
